If you wish to delete your Waymark account and all associated data, you can do so using one of the methods below. Account access is revoked immediately and data is permanently deleted within 90 days.
Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account:
- Open the Waymark app
- Go to Settings (tap profile icon in the bottom navigation)
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Confirm your decision
Your account will be disabled immediately.
Option 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you cannot access the app, send an email to:
Include the following information:
- The email address associated with your account
- Subject line: “Account Deletion Request”
We will process your request within 7 business days. If you can log in, the fastest option is deleting directly in the app.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your profile information (name, email, phone number)
- All video and photo messages you created
- Scheduled messages that haven’t been sent yet
- Recipient contact information you added
- App usage history and preferences
What We May Retain
For legal and security purposes, we may retain certain information for a limited period:
- Transaction records - Payment history for tax/legal compliance (up to 7 years)
- Security logs - Anonymized logs for fraud prevention (up to 90 days)
- Already-delivered messages - Messages already sent to recipients remain with them
Deletion Timeline
- Immediate: Account access is revoked
- Within 90 days: All personal data is permanently deleted from our systems and backups
